Islamabad – A soldier was martyred and 15 terrorists were killed during an operation in Balochistan’s Zhob district, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Sambazar area of ​​the district and engaged the terrorists at their location, neutralizing 15 terrorists.

A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists, the statement said, adding that clearance operations were underway to neutralize other terrorists in the area.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their professionalism in killing 15 terrorists.

In a post on X, the state broadcaster quoted the prime minister as saying he also paid tribute to Lehman’s life lost in action. public television.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that we will continue to fight against terrorism until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.

The country has recently seen a sharp increase in the number of attacks against security forces, other law enforcement agencies and security checkpoints, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber provinces.

On November 22, security forces killed seven terrorists during operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In early November, security forces killed four terrorists, including a “high-value target” in a firefight in Balochistan’s Keh district. On the same day, security forces killed eight terrorists in another operation in Miranshah district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
